Is it true that El Salvador is one of the top 10 BEST place in the world to surf?

I've heard El Salvador is actually ranked 2nd in the world right behind the king of surfing Hawaii according to the New York Times (If you dont believe me look it up). Has anybody every surfed at El Salvador or is thinking of going to surf??
